Yesterday we looked at Feathers and Kakahu (Look at Thursday's learning). I linked our Classroom Treaty and Season's learning together. We will continue with that today.

What is your favourite season and why? What do you like about it? What do you do with your family during your favourite season? How do you protect yourself during that season?

I like Summer because I swim at the beach. I protect myself from the hot sun by putting on sunscreen.

Here are some activities for you to do at home with a family member. Have fun!

How are you all? What have you been doing? Next week when we return to school we will be looking at Feathers and Kakahu. Do you know what a Kakahu is? Have a look below.

That's right, Kakahu is clothing. It protects us. Look at those beautiful feathers on the cloak, Korowai. Where do you find feathers? That's right, on a bird. The feathers protect the bird.

During the summer, you wear shorts and a top to school, to keep you cool. It protects you. We wear sunblock when we do water play. It protects you. You get the idea right?

We will be making a class Kakahu which will go with our classroom Treaty. Do you remember our Classroom Treaty? Why do we have  rules again? That's right to protect us.

Here are some activities for you to do at home with a family member. Have fun!
