Kahoot

We started playing Kahoot a couple of weeks ago. We had Kahoots about the language weeks in our Teams.   The students who went on, said it was fun. As it was something that I was not really familiar with, our first Kahoot had 30 questions (oh no too many). Once I got used to it, I found that you could search for different topics. Here are the instructions, as some students are still learning how to get onto it.

Gardening

This week we are finishing the weeding in the garden. The students have done a great job and it looks great, ready for planting. The photos are taken by Miss Ama, as my phone battery keeps dying. Some of the things the students have seen in the garden are snail shells, skinks and ants.

Google Meets

Room 14 learners decided they would to meet online at 12pm every day.  We have a google meet every day at 12pm, sometimes I will share the photos for our google meets. Please feel free to join us.

Thursday 28th October - Term 4 Week 2

Today we discussed what I could do to help learners to come onto the google meets more often.  Some of the discussion notes were:

- Some learners still needed to learn how to get onto google meets (suggestion to get someone at home to teach them, e.g., older sibling).

- Some learners were not at home and couldn't get online (suggestion just send a chat when they are able to).

- Some learners were going to bed very late and couldn't get up early (changed the google meet time to 12pm).

A good suggestion was to put more learning tasks on our page. I asked if they could send me photos of what they have been doing.

Monday 1st November - Term 4 Week 3

Tuesday 2nd November - Term 4 Week 3

  1. The pattern is repeated. (This is the only one we can think of at the moment).

Here is an example of number patterns. We discussed what the rule would be for each number and then checked it with the steps to success (The pattern is repeated).
